Fall

Just some pictures to recap what we have been up to lately.
I had a birthday so Paul and I went mini golfing.
Paul has been playing both indoor and outdoor soccer.
Indoor is a little harder to catch on film due to speedy Paul and plastic shielding to protect the spectators.
Tomo has had some friends over lately. They wrestle, chew and chase each other. And when they know you are in the kitchen, this is the lineup they take every time. I would clean the window, but really that is a futile mission, so enjoy our smudgy view.
7 Years? Really?

Summer Happenings
By Erin on August 2, 2009 | 2 feedbacks »
Earlier this summer we got our dog a pool. We figured Tomo loved the water, so a pool would keep him nice and cool. Try as we might, the only one who got in the pool was this guy.
We have also been busy this summer finishing projects around the house. Organizing our pantry (thanks to Mom and Dad's Christmas Present),
and building our garden.
Paul wants me to ask you to please ignore the green garage (that is on our to do list, we promise).
We've been painting as well, but no pictures yet. All in all we feel pretty productive!
Watch out or I'll knock your block off!

This is not really funny, but I hope one day this little guy can laugh about it. That is if he can even remember it. ![]()
Last Sunday I was doing my usual running around trying to get the attendance rolls out during church. I handed my binder off to the young women leaders and turned around to head back to the RS room and WHAM!!!! I clocked this poor little boy right on the noggin with the corner of my clipboard. I promptly hugged him and I think I even rubbed his head and begged for his forgiveness. The poor guy (who must have been 10 or so) first got smacked with my clipboard and then smothered by my guilt...needless to say he was very eager get away. In fact he never looked at me or said a word. Realizing this had to be awkward for him, I released him from my hug, and watched him walk away rubbing his forehead. I am pretty sure the kid had a goose egg or at least a bruise. I probably should have followed him so I could explain to his mother what happened. Reason # 354,897 why I don’t have kids yet: if they even make it to the age of 10, I will probably accidentally knock their heads off with some blunt object. Sigh.
To the Hills! I mean Mountains!

A while back Paul and I found some super cheap tickets to CO and UT. In order to maximize our funds we split up the trips. Me to Colorado to visit my mom after her brief hospital stay, and see Megan graduate, and Paul to UT/WY to surprise his mom for her birthday.
Here is how I spent my vacation with family.
We celebrated Megan's graduation with thousands of others, ate some BBQ and watched her receive her outstanding student award. I gotta say I am super proud of MeganO, she has really worked hard for this degree. AND! Not one week from graduating and she already had a job lined up; not so easy in these times.
Paul and I have really missed the mountains, so I asked the parents if they would mind coming with me see some mountain views. Mount Evans is a 14,000 foot peak that has a road all the way to the top. We got as far as we could, but the rest of the road to the top was closed until Memorial Day. I am not going to complain though because the views were still amazing!
Aren't they so cute?
I also got to play in some white cold stuff...I think its called snow? It was awesome!
