June

June was a fun month of swimming, hanging at home and stopping by the boy's favorite doughnut
 shop.

Matthew had no trouble jumping right in! Plus is didn't help that his instructor was a woman.  He's quite the ladies man.

Seth was a little more trepidatious about swimming. He didn't even get in the water the first day. The next day he was forced in...immediate smile!

Sprinkle donuts anyone?

We love the conveyor belt!

Still not a hat man!

May

The month of May was also a traumatizing month for Seth (and his parents).  Earlier, Seth was diagnosed with Intermittent Exotropia (where both eyes wonder out).  We were putting patches on Seth's stronger eye to try and get his weaker eye to keep working.  It wasn't doing the trick, so he had to have surgery.  The day of the surgery was bitter sweet. Seth was so brave going into the surgery, and when he was finished, he was so sad/mad/drugged up.  Both Paul and I remember watching Seth walk towards the operating room with his nurse, looking back at us, having total faith that what we asked him to do would make his eyes better.
He was so brave for the surgery. Thank you, "Franklin goes to the Hospital", for giving Seth some kind of reference for his experince.
He was not happy when he woke up. This was when he tried to go back to sleep after they brought him to us.

Two days later, it was like nothing happened.  His eyes just looked awful!
Later that week Seth was camping and hanging out in the dirt with his dad and brother for their father -son camp out.
