Holiday Happenings

It was nice to be home for the holidays. It was even better to have family here with us. We saw Christmas lights, made graham cracker houses, ran around the house, and read about our Savior's birth.

Christmas morning we were rudely awakened, not by the squealing sound of delighted children, but to the terrifying screams of panicking children, due to rogue smoke detectors.

Merry Christmas to us!

Merry Christmas from the Denson Home!

Where do you take a couple who live in the mountains of Colorado while they are staying here in Texas?

We decided on Enchanted Rock, and it proved to be right up their alley.
All those little dots are people walking around.
Paul and I were a little worried that our men wouldn't make it up the hill. Apparently, these Texans are born mountain goats. All the way up they were running and jumping and passing other people. They had such momentum that GrandmO told us not to wait for her. We were up at the top in no time.
Before the journey...

Grandparents trekking it up the hill
Trying to hide in a "cave".
It was best not to stand still too long or you might get blown back down the rock.
Conquers!

We did it!  You can't see it, but we are pointing to the official marker.
Take a look at GrandmO. She did amazing and you can tell she is pretty pleased!  GrandpO is just glad to have everyone on flat ground again.

Boys growing up!

I am constantly amazed at all the things these two can do.
They like heights...

They like to do crazy things with their shirts...

And they make us laugh each day!
I love you Seth! I love you Matthew!

We played soccer this year

The boys tried their hand at soccer this fall. We came a long way from the first game. Paul was the coach and the boys just cried and would't let go of their dad's leg.

Once there was some talk about how it doesn't matter who wins or loses then the next game was a complete turn around. Seth couldn't get enough of the game and Matthew was a trooper and played in order to get the snack at the end.

Excited to wear soccer clothes like Dad!

Excited to be like Dad!

One season down. Someone was not happy that it was the last game.
